Low voltage wiring provides the infrastructure for all of the low voltage systems within the home. Some wireless technologies are available for voice and data networking but it is usually a good idea to use a physical wire as the foundation of your systems and take advantage of the wireless technologies just to make it more convenient to access those services. Here is a list of items that utilize low voltage wiring:

It is highly recommended to run at least two CAT5e or CAT6 wires and a pair of RG6U coaxial wire to each room during the rough-in phase of new construction. We can advise you on other recommended wires based on what you think that you may want to do in the future.
